This is a very good news. Harikrishna is making move steadily and soon should be among the most prominant players of the world. He is one of my favorite sportsperson. His ELO of 2673 is an achivement itself. Kudos to Hari.

Now, chess generates interest in remote Sikkim, reports newKerala. Teams from eastern Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, and the northeastern Tripura, Manipur and Nagaland states are among the participants.

Without a doubt Chess has broad appeal. India's booming economy should support Chess and soon there will be a day when it will be seen as a "Sport" all over the country. Not just a another game.
